Undercurrents – Call Out for Works-in-Progress
Undercurrents will take place from 11-14 February, 2027 at venues across Edinburgh. Whilst much of the programme is already taking shape, we have a few remaining opportunities for Scottish artists to test ideas and share work at Undercurrents 2027 from 10 minutes to a full-length preview.

Fundraising Manager
The Fundraising Manager is a brand new role in the Manipulate Arts team, whose role is to lead on income generation for the charity, working closely with the rest of the team to identify new partnerships and opportunities to support our current programme, and also to help shape our offer in response to funding opportunities.

Seeking new work by D/deaf and Hard of Hearing performance artists and filmmakers – no fixed deadline
Manipulate Festival are seeking new work by D/deaf or Hard of Hearing Creatives to consider for programming at our future festivals. If you or a leading member of your creative team are D/deaf or Hard of Hearing working in Scotland or the rest of the UK with an existing or new piece of work you would like to propose for our programme, we would love to hear from you.
Given our highly visual remit, we have a strong organisational commitment to D/deaf artists and audiences and as such are always keen to present exciting new work by and for the D/deaf community. In recent years we have programmed new visual theatre work by artists such as Ramesh Meyyappan and Petre Dobre. Even if you’re not sure whether you have a work ready to pitch for our festival, please contact us by email to start a conversation with our Artistic Director & CEO, and to introduce us to your work.
