About Manipulate Arts

The mission of Manipulate Arts is to champion, develop and present brilliant animated film, puppetry and visual theatre in Scotland and internationally. We offer creative experiences for audiences of all ages, through which everyone can discover the range and magic of these highly visual art forms, with their power to bring people together through creativity. Manipulate Arts is a home for all artists working with objects, puppets, animated forms and the human body to explore new ideas and develop practice.

Across Scotland and Beyond

We are based in Edinburgh but represent audiences and artists across Scotland and we work nationwide to bring creative activities to communities across the country. Our work is rooted in strong partnerships both within and outside of the arts, from the Outer Hebrides to the borders and around the world. We collaborate with international partners to ensure cross-cultural collaboration around our highly visual artforms.
