At the very core of our mission is the support of independent creative practice in Scotland. We do this in many ways, whether by funding, facilitating exchange, networking, offering exposure through paid performance platforms or running skills and training opportunities.
Please browse our Artist pages below to find out in more.
Our artist development opportunities are co-designed through consultation with freelance professionals in a number of ways: through annual surveys; by engaging artists as associate programmers; and by our constitutional commitment for 1/3 of our board positions to be held by currently practising artists.
If you are an artist and would like to build a relationship with Manipulate Arts, we would be very happy to hear from you. Please contact us via email or consider joining our Artist Network to be kept up to date with opportunities and news.
Our purpose is to serve and support you, along with our audiences and communities across Scotland. If we’re getting something wrong or you would like to see things run differently, we are always open to hear your feedback and ideas.
