Manipulate Arts is thrilled to announce that Peace of Heart, directed by animator and filmmaker Ana Songel, has been named the winner of the first‑ever Manipulate Award for Scottish Animation. The new award is presented in partnership with Move Summit and Glasgow Film Theatre, marking a significant milestone as the Festival launches its inaugural in‑competition strand.
Created to spotlight exceptional work produced in Scotland over the past three years, the award celebrates the ambition, craft, and creative innovation shaping the nation’s animation landscape.
This year’s jury praised Peace of Heart for its accomplished production values, outstanding sound design, and the emotional resonance at the core of its storytelling. The film stood out for its sensitivity, technical assurance, and the clarity of its artistic voice.
