In Caithness, our lead partner is Lyth Arts Centre – we are beginning a new relationship with Lyth in 2024 to develop a programme that will engage audiences and participants across Caithness, whether in the town centres of Thurso and Wick, in rural locations across the region or at Lyth Arts Centre itself.
We will deliver a range of projects which:
- Bring a broader range of highly visual and accessible quality arts from across Scotland and around the world to the area.
- Offer inter-generational opportunities to families and communities in Caithness and Sutherland to try new creative skills, develop confidence, spend time together and make new friends.
- Support artists locally to develop their creative skillset, and support the to creation or development of work by local artists that can engage and entertain local audiences and also tour on to other parts of Scotland
- Enable special moments of community celebration through creativity, placing local people at the heart of telling their own stories.
